Like a Motel

This backpackers has a clean safe friendly feel. As a women traveling solo I did not feel threatened by the intoxicated males which it is usual to find in the basic friut picking hostel.

The rooms are clean and bright just like motels used to be before they started to call themselves "Motor Inns" and who needs 50 channels of sky T.V. shampoo and hair nets?

I stayed for six months and found the location on the road to Havelock North from Hastings and a short walk to the "New World" hard to beat.

I also found the orchards in Park Road South, just around the corner had plenty of work.
