Hanmer Backpackers is the most centrally located backpacker hostel in Hanmer Springs. Our clean chalet-style building is warm, cosy and has that homey feeling most travellers are looking for. We are a small hostel and can only sleep 19 guests in a combination of dormitories, twin, doubles, triples and quad rooms. The hostel comes with full kitchen facilities, great BBQ and outdoor seating, complete with mountain views. Book exchange, cheap laundry, internet and some random pleasant surprises.

We are a 5-minute walk from the famous Thermal Hot Pools, i-SITE, supermarket, bus stop and most activities. There is more to Hanmer Springs than the thermal hot pools though. There is great hiking, mountain biking, jet boating, rafting, bungy jumping, golf, fishing, skiing, paint ball, massages and day spas and many more things to keep you busy for more than just one day.
