Legally no one can discriminate against you because of piercings or tattoos as well as your colour, religion, or sexual preference.
If you are applying for a job in a bank and were unsuccessful they would tell you that it had nothing to do with body piercings or tattoos, but we all know it most likely was the reason.
On the other hand if you are applying for seasonal work like apple or kiwi fruit picking. Your employer most likely has more piercings or tattoos than yourself and it wouldn’t be a problem.
