The city that smells, but it has some really fun activities to offer with the speeding down the side of a mountain on the luge to being put inside a giant hamster ball and being thrown down a hill in Zorbing but far and away the best thing to do is the Maori Concert and Hangi night you get a traditional welcome to the village, you get to walk around a recreated Maori village, the locals perform a concert, and then you can end the evening with a Hangi (which is a traditional meal cooked under ground) it is well worth every penny. Rotorua has many great gardens to offer with the museum in the heart of one which is really interesting, there are several thermal pools to experience and the Thermal Village is really worth a visit it is full of active geysers.
