After phoning this place at 5pm and letting them know we were on our way from Hamilton we were greeted by the receptionist running out the back with her dinner, fair enough everyone has to eat but how long does it take to check us in? All of 3 minutes is how long it took. She could have EASILY done this first. We missed a ride with friends to a gig due to sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes waiting for a key just to check our bags in!! My friend phoned to cancel our booking as we had no idea how long we would be made to wait and she refused to tell us how much the cancellation fee was. So I phoned again and was told the more we keep ringing the longer she will take with her dinner (they had already missed out on a group of tourists who came to book a room but got sick of waiting!) We finally got checked in and she apologised as she had been working a huge shift. If you don't like your job or your hours that is not our problem. I thought it was incredibally rude we had to sit around waiting to be checked in then were going to be charged full room price to cancel! I would highly reccomend the Back packers down the road called "Nomads" it has a great atmosphere and you are guaranteed to be attended to within minutes of arriving! |
